Pickleball in France

Can you play pickleball in France?

Yes. Pickleball is now played across France, from major cities to smaller local clubs.

The difficult part is not proving that courts exist. It is knowing which places currently offer pickleball, when sessions take place, how reservations work, and who to contact locally.

Bonjour Pickleball maintains a national directory of places to play, with information organized by city, department and region.

Carole Stromboni, founder of Bonjour Pickleball

“You know how to find a court back home. In France, you are starting from scratch.”

That is what I am here to help with

I am Carole, a pickleball player who splits her time between the United States and France.

I created Bonjour Pickleball to make the sport easier to discover, understand and play in France.

The future trips will use that local knowledge: places to play, people to meet, realistic schedules and enough time to enjoy the destination.

Future trips

A France trip built around social pickleball

These trips are not intended to be intensive coaching camps. Pickleball creates the group and the local connections, but it does not take over the entire stay.

The first experience is being explored for 2027, with the South of France among the possible starting points.

  • Small groups of approximately 6 to 12 players
  • Organized social playing time
  • Connections with people who play locally
  • Time for food, culture, landscapes and rest
  • Options for solo travelers, couples and private groups

The experience

Play, connect and still have time for France

Pickleball is the starting point. The trip is also about the place and the people.

Organized social play

Court time and playing partners are prepared in advance, so you do not spend the trip searching for a session.

Local connections

Meet people who already play in France and discover how the local pickleball community works.

Time to discover France

The schedule leaves space for meals, visits, landscapes, conversations and rest.

Possible destinations

Who it is for

International players who want more than a resort

  • Solo travelers who want a welcoming group
  • Couples where one or both people play
  • Friends who want to travel together
  • Club groups looking for a private trip
  • Players interested in meeting the French community
